My experience with Pain Management Specialists was unusual. I am in the process of having multiple oral surgeries that involve removing teeth and jawbone, replacing the jaw, and inserting posts for implants. After the last surgery, which inserted the replacement bone, the pain was unbearable for the first two weeks and horrible for the next two weeks. To make matters worse, the jaw insertion did not take, and instead of moving on to inserting posts for implants, the jaw insertion had to be removed. My oral surgeon was uncomfortable prescribing additional pain medication, and recommended I see a pain management specialist.
I originally saw Dr. Hough and Robin Danielson together in the office, both of whom were very patient and discussed various pain-reduction options available and answered my concerns about my need to reduce my post-surgical pain significantly and my concerns about interactions and contraindications with the many prescription medications, vitamins, and supplements I take.
When I finally got my oral surgery approved by my insurance, I recontacted Pain Management Specialists to prescribe the medications we had discussed. Because it was several months between my initial appointment and the time for my next oral surgery, I needed to have a virtual appointment with Robin Danielson, CRNP to review my case and to confirm my prescriptions.
Robin was terrific! He gave me the opportunity to remind him that I am a "pain wimp," and then we discussed the pain-control options available. After we settled on a course of medications, and Robin confirmed them with Dr. Hough, Robin sent the prescriptions to my local pharmacy. It was so convenient to be able to get my pain medications BEFORE the surgery rather than depending on whoever picked me up from the hospital having to stop at the pharmacy to pick them up.
Unlike my previous surgery, my post-surgical pain was managed much better under Robin's care. I was pain-free less than two weeks post-surgery!

Robin is awesome, cool, and easygoing. He ensures that I am involved in the planning of my care. At the start of each in-person or telehealth appointment. Robin is always punctual and prepared to see me. He usually says, "Hello, Mrs. Kaba." It's good to see you.What has happened since I last saw you? How is your pain? Do your medications help you deal with your pain? Do you have any questions or concerns that you would like us to address? I sent your medications to the pharmacy; do you want us? Do you have any questions or suggestions? Robin is a decent young man who cares about me and provides excellent care, and I am confident that he does the same for all of his patients. Robin remains calm and speaks in a low tone of voice. He consistently makes me feel heard and important. I feel blessed and humbled to work with someone who is both knowledgeable and kind. His number one priority is privacy and safety. Thank you!

This was quick,efficient and relatively painless procedure. Dr. Hough seemed concerned with my level of discomfort and explain things very clearly. I felt quite comfortable and everyone was very friendly and professional.

Right side of neck fine. So far no pains. Left side of neck back of head still hurt. Wonder if left shoulder arm achy. Wonder if connected

Dr. Peruvemba, Robin and the entire staff at Pain Management are outstanding. The explanation of various available treatment options, most recently Kyphoplasty, is always thorough and described in a way that is easy to understand. Dr. P always takes the time to answer any questions I may have. The doctors and staff are always friendly, helpful and professional.

Dr Hough is a great listener- understood my issue & gave great suggestions- knowing that I will be living out of the country for a year.
He was able to have a phone consultation within just a few days of my initial call.
Also, he is the able to see me for my procedure very soon.

I have been a patient of Dr Hough’s for over 15 years. During that time we have used several treatments for severe chronic pain. Every one in the office is friendly. Dr Hough is very knowledgeable and recommends various new treatments and techniques for me.

Everyone in the office was nice. I didn't have to wait long to see the doctor.
Dr. Hough was very professional he explained what he was going to do. I was
happy he numbed me first then gave me the shot. I did not feel anything. Overall
